Surviving Suicide Part 1

Nine years after returning from deployment in Somalia, Cleo DeLoner was battling PTSD. She rarely slept, fearing the ghosts under her pillow, and pushed herself to the brink. On June 24, 2002, she decided the world would be better off without her and grabbed a .22 long rifle, headed for the “river.” After smoking a cigarette and eating a lollipop, she picked up the rifle, jammed the magazine in, locked and loaded a round, pointed it to her face and pulled the trigger…. The gun went off, but Cleo is still here today. How did she live? Why was she spared?

National Civil War Museum

The National Civil War Museum incorporates collections of artifacts, manuscripts, documents, photographs, and other printed matter that exceed 24,000 items.  Although many items have been donated to The National Civil War Museum since its opening in 2001, the vast majority of its collections were acquired by the City of Harrisburg between 1994 and 1999 under the auspices of Mayor Stephen R. Reed.  Three-dimensional objects (artifacts) comprise about 3,500 items, of which one-fourth (850 items) are on display in the permanent galleries of the building.  nationalcivilwarmuseum

Bill Johnson or Bob Hope?

Bill has performed his tribute regularly at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. When the Museum premiered the film “Beyond All Boundaries” in their Victory Theater, Bill was honored to introduce NBC-TV broadcast journalist Tom Brokaw, and perform a brief moment of comedy with the film’s Executive Producer, Academy Award winning actor Tom Hanks. Bill regularly appears at BB’s Stage Door Canteen (also on the campus of the WWII Museum), starring in a sell-out production of “Thanks For the Memories: Bob Hope and his All Star Pacific Tour.”

Mark Alan Cash

An artist in his own right, Mark has been writing and performing songs for many years like his uncle and also his father Tommy Cash. It is safe to say that music is in the "Cash" blood. Also in the Cash Blood is the honor of serving our country as, Mark his dad and Johnny have all served in a branch of the military.

Though fans may first attend the museum to pay tribute to the artist they love and adore, they soon find that the "Cash" name has brought them even more exquisite talent to listen to. As a regular performer at Storytellers, Mark Alan Cash has been entertaining countless fans with his extraordinary vocal ability that often resembles the baritone in Johnny's voice.
